Angel Szoldatits

Angel attended Benet Academy where she was on the softball team, played the trumpet and also received excellent grades. She loved math and graduated class of 1992. Next was North Central College and she was already on her way to a banking career working for Lemont National and West Suburban Banks. By 1994 Angel had met and married her best friend and true love in a fairy tale wedding. She was so beautiful. She never let NF2 slow her down and would always recover from surgeries as though she was not human. She continued to do what she loved. Angel loved mountain biking, volleyball and bowling to name a few. She went to the resorts in Orlando Florida with her family just about every year, even as recently as 2011. For her 10th wedding anniversary she went on a Caribbean cruise with a balcony view, swam with the dolphins in Mexico and played with a large school of sting rays out in the ocean. She went sky diving and took her grandmother on a hot air balloon ride. The Cubs were her favorite team and she was also able to see a Blackhawks game from a sky box. Angel even became a Godmother to her niece. Did I mention that she also met Sarah Ferguson the Duchess of York? Angel always felt like she was everyone’s protector and loved her family very much. She would always give them anything she had and helped them any way she could. With everything that Angel had been through, including the 15 brain surgeries, it was only by her mother’s devoted care and Angel’s amazing strength that she turned 41 a few weeks ago. Near the end, although living in her own little world, she continued to recall old memories, movies and stories and even occasionally sang her favorite songs. She delivered some classic one-liners and kept us laughing. When she was able, she lived life to the fullest and helped many others realize they need to live and enjoy the time they have. Angel is survived by her mom and dad, Ken and Joanne Kottke, her sisters Lori Best, and April Belanger, her brother Ken and her husband Jim Peace, Love, and Happiness. Enjoy life to the fullest.
