Brian Warren Ahearn, 69, died Sunday, August 2 at Meadowbrook Manor of Bolingbrook il. Survived by wife, Dawn Ahearn and son Brian Ahearn II of Romeoville, daughter Sandy (Andrew) Romo, Richland Tx and 5 grandchildren (Kayla, Vinnie, Joey, Andy, Emma). Sisters Penny (Ronald) Jensen, Joliet, Colleen (Jack) Levy, Berwyn and 2 brothers John Kovich of Arizona, Micheal (Anne) Ahearn of Wyncote, PA. Sisters in law Susan Brimer and Karen Brimer both of Madison WI. Brother in laws William Brimer II West Allis WI, Brian Brimer Wyoming and John Brimer Romeoville IL. Aunt Peggy Aldworth, Glen Ellyn IL. Several nieces and nephews Heidi (Tony) Aigular with, Jacob, Christine and family; Jeff (Jeanette) Reich with family Julian, Hayden and Taylor; Romy (Chris) Desanto with Sydney; Raymond (Erica) Reich with Ray Jr., Ryan, Mia; Veronica (Matt) Libke with Ava; Elizabeth (Kyle) Coatney with Mila, Weston; Peter Ahearn and family; Andrew Ahearn and family; and Kelsey Brimer. Previously married to Gail Ahearn of Downers Grove, IL. Brian had many cousins and friends who love and miss him as well. Preceding him in death; mother, Mary Jane Ahearn, father, John Ahearn. Brother in law, Jack Levy. Sister in law, Anne Ahearn. Mother in law Carol Brimer, father in law, William Brimer, and sister in law, Julie Marie Brimer. Infant daughter Nicole Marie Ahearn, and infant son John William Ahearn; nephew Christopher John Brimer. Brian graduated St. Joseph Catholic high school Western Springs IL later attended Morton College in Berwyn IL. He enlisted in navy during Vietnam war. Upon return from war he worked at Henderson and later at General Motors Locomotives as a welder in McCook IL. Moved to Indiana 1985 continued working as welder and tool and die machinist. Later American Home Center. 1994 Brian returned to Naperville IL. He worked 8 years as utility clerk at Eagle Country Market. When Eagle left the area Brian joined the Plastic Group in Clarendon Hills, IL working again in tool and die industry. Brian's hobbies included swimming, diving, collecting and running model trains, watching space, gozilla, aliens and old science fiction movies. In later years after several strokes, he became wheelchair bound he was a resident at Meadowbrook Manor in Bolingbrook. Sunday, August 2 Brian passed away quietly in his sleep. Due to the covid environment family will not have a viewing or funeral service at this time. Memorial service may be scheduled later. In lieu of flowers: cards and donations may be sent to family's home.
