The Life of Johnnie Walker, Jr. On October 7th, 2018 Johnnie Walker Jr. went home to be with his Lord. So today we celebrate the life of a Father, son, brother, cousin, Uncle, Grandfather and friend of so many. Johnnie Walker Jr. was born to the union of Johnnie Walker (Moe) and Willie Mae Walker (Munnie) on January 04, 1939 in New Boston Tx. He was the sixth child of ten born to this union. He loved the Lord his God and grew up in church. He enlisted in the Army in 1958 and was Honorably Discharged in 1960. After leaving the military he went to live in Chicago IL. where he met and married Louise Bissic and had three children to that union. In 1986 he married Bernice Marrissette. To this union one child was born. Johnnie a hard worker had a passion for reading. He was also an avid believer in education. He attended Roosevelt University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology. Over the years he worked with the CTA as a driver, YMCA, Chicago Urban League, Aamco Transmission and he retired from the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District. Johnnie loved history. Whenever the family would get together he and his siblings would have debates about many topics including the Bible. There was rarely a time when he was not correct (to himself). He loved to sing and would sing his favorite songs all the time even when people didn’t want him to sing. He also loved fishing. Johnnie was preceded in death by his parents Johnnie and Willie Mae Walker, his wife Bernice Walker, his brother Robert (Bob) Walker, brother James (Brother) Walker, sister Mary (Baby) Miller, sister Kaye Francis Cotton and sister Elouise Brown. He leaves to cherish his loving memory four children Angela (Kenneth) Spears of Fort Worth Tx, Chandra (Mortimer) Smith of Bolingbrook IL, Kyron (Alana) Walker of Woodridge IL, J Russell (Tamala) Lamb of Harvey IL, ten grandchildren Emma (Kevin) Aristide of Evanston IL., Daniel (Samantha) Walker of Tucson Az., Kenneth Spears, Kyle Spears, Nicholas Rogers, J Russell Lamb Jr., Cayleh Smith, Nicole Walker, Emonnie Lamb, Taylor Smith, one great granddaughter Jemma Walker, brother Charles (Maxine) Walker of Chicago IL., sisters Clarice (Charles) Payne of Chicago IL., Billy Ann Walker of New Boston Tx., Cynthia (Jesse) Hurd of New Boston Tx., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
