Wade Albert Jacobi

In loving memory of Wade A. Jacobi who passed Monday, August 18, 2020. He will be remembered as a strong man in his more recent years of battling ongoing health issues. Through it all, he remained a fighter and was surrounded with many people that will miss him dearly. Devoted husband to Susan (Pedersen) Jacobi for 40 years and proud, loving father for their daughter, Louise Jacobi. Grateful for lifetime with his brothers, Kyle and Rian Jacobi, extended family over the years, Arnold, Juarez and Puzerewski, and being a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews, to share life experiences. Working since 18, in a number of cities in public works positions, Romeoville, Rockdale, and Naperville, and most recently, Bolingbrook. While working full-time, he achieved a Bachelors in Science in Biological Sciences and Masters in Public Administration. Wade was an advocate and dedicated Assistant to Director of Utilities for Village of Bolingbrook for 33 years yet always managed to keep his family first. He never missed a single birthday, graduation, dance recital or other school event; always celebrating life with flowers and hugs for special occasions. Wade became an avid University of Michigan Football fan where his daughter, Louise, attended school and vicariously becoming an alumni. His personal passions were golfing, starting with being on Lockport West High School golf team and more recently at Bolingbrook Golf Club at Village of Bolingbrook annual golf outing. As a high school musician, he was percussionist and drum major which led to his lifetime enjoyment of orchestras, musicals and always having the best dance moves for daddy/daughter date nights and senior year daddy/daughter orchesis finale. Sailing became a new found passion crewing on three Chicago to Mackinac races which turned sailing into a recurring family vacation adventure. Wade treasured traveling with family to state & national parks, tropics, coastal towns and Disney magical moments with once in a lifetime Mexico and Germany trips. There will be a Celebration of Life planned at a future date.
