Aida Alonso

Aida “Mima” Alonso (nee Diaz), age 87 passed away peacefully on Thursday November 26th, 2020. She was born on February 19th, 1933 in Encrucijada, Villa Clara Cuba to Felipe and Hortencia Diaz. She married Rafael Alonso in 1955 and shared 65 beautiful years together. They moved to America and settled in Chicago where they raised their 3 beloved children. Aida was a devoted homemaker and loving mother. She was very proud of her family and was excited to become a Mima to her 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Aida loved spending time with her family and will be missed dearly along with her kisses, compliments, and infectious smile. Aida leaves behind her loving husband Rafael Alonso, her 3 children Maria (Rene) Dominguez, Carlos (Mary) Alonso, Rafael Jr. (Lizette) Alonso, 4 grandchildren Maria Elena (Michael) Turone, Marilyn Torres, Jacqueline (Chris) Guzman, Ashley Alonso and 7 great grandchildren Michael, Alex, Nico, Julian, Leo, Dominic, and Kaylani.
