Dr. Rajesh Sehgal Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Dr. Rajesh Sehgal, age 58, of Chicago, Illinois, passed away at Northwestern Memorial Hospital on Thursday, January 17th, 2019 with his loving family by his side. Rajesh was born in New Delhi, India, to Brijlal and Mohini Sehgal and was raised by his parents as well as his late grandmother, Jaiwati Sehgal. After finishing his medical education at University College of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, he married Lata Motwani and moved to the United States to complete his medical training. His love for his career as an Interventional Cardiologist was second only to his love for his family. Raj was a caring father and husband and generous friend to all. With frequent date nights with his beautiful wife and steak nights with his sons, he loved life and believed in living life to the fullest. Raj had a taste for the finer things - whether it was his impeccable sense of fashion, his "exhotic" car collection, or his vast selection of whiskies - and his vitality was infectious. You could always spot Raj in a crowd, by his handsome features or a brightly colored designer tie. Rajesh is survived by his beloved wife, Lata R. Sehgal, of 33 years, sons Vinod and Vinay Sehgal, parents Brijlal and Mohini Sehgal, brother and sister-in-law Surinder and Simmi Sehgal, and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family members. A celebration of life service will be held from 11:00 AM- 4:00 PM on Wednesday, January 23rd, 2019 at Bolingbrook-McCauley Funeral Chapel and Crematorium, 530 W. Boughton Rd, Bolingbrook, IL 60440. The wake will be held from 11:00 AM- 3:00 PM followed by the puja and cremation.
