Timothy Frank Giesel, age 82, passed away peacefully at home with his family surrounding him on January 23, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Leona (nee Polena) for over 62 years, loving Dad of Janice (Chris) Diaferio, Randal (Barbara Spong) Giesel, Susan (John) Schneider, and Donna (nee Stringfield) (Eric) Mayer, cherished Grandpa of Nicholas (Jennifer) Diaferio, Lindsay (Dan) Skiba, Jaclyn and Jenna Diaferio, Brianna Giesel, Bailie (Tyler) Piasecki, Tanner (Caitlin) Giesel, and Tyler and Marissa Schneider, and Vance Lullo, adored Great-Grandpa of Jack and Drew Diaferio, and Trace McDarrah, dear brother of Thomas, the late Joyce, and the late Deanna, fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Tim loved bowling, exercising, swimming, his 3-mile walks, and a horse enthusiast. More importantly, he will always be remembered for being a kind and generous man. Tim will be missed by all. Funeral arrangements entrusted to McCauley-Sullivan Funeral Home & Crematorium. Visitation Sunday, January 24, 2021, from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm. Funeral Service will take place at 2:30pm at McCauley-Sullivan Funeral Home & Crematorium, 530 W. Boughton Road Bolingbrook, IL. 60440. The service will be presided over by Father Pat Murphy from St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Private burial will take place at a later date.
