Amalia G. Cortez, de 85 años, fue la amada esposa del difunto Rodolfo, querida hija de los difuntos Reynaldo y Josefina Gutiérrez, querida madre de Irma (Adolfo) Cortez-Gómez, orgullosa abuela de Gina y Carly Gómez, querida hermana de Jesús (Genevieva) Gutiérrez, Glafira Gutiérrez, San Juana Gutiérrez y la difunta María Luisa (Alfredo) Gaytán, querida tía de muchos sobrinos y sobrinas, prima de muchos y todos la extrañamos.

El velatorio se llevará a cabo el viernes 12 de Septiembre de 2025, de 15:00 a 20:00 h, en la Funeraria y Crematorio McCauley-Sullivan, 530 West Boughton Road, Bolingbrook, Illinois 60440. La misa fúnebre se celebrará a la mañana siguiente, a las 10:00 h, el sábado 13 de Septiembre de 2025, en la Iglesia Católica San Andrés Apóstol, 505 Kingston Drive, Romeoville, Illinois 60446. El entierro se realizará en el Cementerio HillCrest.

Los servicios funerarios estarán a cargo de la Funeraria McCauley-Sullivan.

Amalia G. Cortez, age 85, was the beloved wife to the late Rodolfo, cherished daughter of the late Reynaldo and the late Josefina Gutierrez, loving mother of Irma (Adolfo) Cortez-Gomez, proud grandmother of Gina and Carly Gomez, dear sister to Jesus (Genevieva) Gutierrez, Glafira Gutierrez, San Juana Gutierrez, and the late Maria Luisa (Alfredo) Gaytan, fond aunt to many nieces and nephews, cousin to many and missed by all.

The visitation will take place on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m., located at McCauley-Sullivan Funeral Home & Crematorium, 530 West Boughton Road, Bolingbrook, Illinois 60440. Her funeral mass proceeds during the following morning, at 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, September 13, 2025, located at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 505 Kingston Drive, Romeoville, Illinois 60446. Interment HillCrest Cemetery.
