Arzania "Zookie" Williams III, age 42, passed away Thursday, January 15th, 2026 at his residence in Holly Springs, North Carolina. Zookie was a native of Bolingbrook, Il.
He was the loving son of Arzania and Karen Williams II and brother of Krista and husband Victor Roa, who reside in Raleigh, North Carolina. He was the proud and loving uncle of Victor, Mirari, Javier, Josue & Lianna. Nephew to Stephanie and G. Thomas Furgerson and cousin to Brittany, Jordan and Sydney, of Des Moines, Iowa. He was cousin to Amy. Brett and Michelle of Iowa and Andy and Melissa of Colorado
He was a graduate of Romeoville High School (2002) and then pursued a career in the food service industry becoming a chef. He last served as the Food Service Manager for Camp Agape in Fuquay-Varina NC. He was such an amazing person and had so many hopes and dreams. He was the most loving person and always wanted to make sure that everyone around him was happy and had what they needed. He was extremely loyal to his friends.
He was an artist, musician, avid reader (the library was one of his favorite places), loved fishing, and was an amazing chef (the Summer Camp kids at Agapé are going to miss you so much). He was fiercely independent and was definitely a work smarter, not harder kind of guy. He loved his nephews, nieces, and God children with all his heart, and would do anything they asked.
This past year especially was an adjustment, but he was looking forward to the Spring and Summer seasons when he got to cook for people again. That is what made him truly happy, and we are lost, thinking that we won't eat your food or hear your laugh again.
