Blanche Martinez's Obituary
Esperanza "Blanche" Martinez, 88, of Bolingbrook, passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2021.
Blanche was born on October 8, 1932, to Geronimo and Guadalupe (Sanchez) Martinez in Bricelyn, MN.
Blanche attended school in Manly, IA and Mason City IA. She moved to Chicago and had a long career as an operator for AT&T. She also lived in San Antonio, TX; Huron, SD; and Lansing, MI.
Blanche enjoyed playing bingo, crocheting, and knitting for many years. Her crochet of The Lord's Prayer is in the homes of many of her loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and eight brothers and sisters Mary Vera, Chon Martinez, Vicky Avalos, Eleanor Salazar, Clara Martinez, Joe Martinez, Margaret Cuchetto, and Sally Alvarez.
She is survived by three children. Mary Servantez of Hendersonville, TN, David (Debbie) Servantez of Romeoville, IL, and Yolanda (Steven) Villanueva of Bolingbrook, IL.
The loving grandmother of 15 grandchildren; Sabrina, Lisa, Annette, Angelo, Corey, Jim, Jeff, Kelly, Joe, Dan, Troy, David, Christina, Christina, and Candice.
Also loved by 38 great-grandchildren,14 great-great-grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces.
Family and Friends to Gather Saturday, May 1st at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 1501 W. Boughton Rd, Bolingbrook, IL. Memorial Mass 10:00am.
