Brian C. Belva, 83, of Bolingbrook, formerly of Chicago, passed away peacefully at home on April 6th, 2024, after a 5-year battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and
sister.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Judith (nee Armbruster); his daughters Beverly (Jim) Wickey
and Vickie (Craig) Dixon; and his 4 grandsons, Forrest (Gabriella) Marcinowski, James Dixon, Frank Dixon,
and Brandon Wickey; his brother James (Dana) Belva. He was loved by many nieces, nephews, and
cousins.
Brian proudly retired from the Cement Mason Union, Local 502, after over 50 years of service. His hobbies included decorating for Christmas, playing Santa, being a history buff, an avid reader, and spending time with his grandsons. Brian's most proud achievements, besides his daughters, were many of the buildings he built in downtown Chicago; the one that stood out most was the Standard Oil Building. He had a love for Disney; Pinocchio was his favorite. Brian was an amazing joke-teller. He was a stranger to no one.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Alleluia Lutheran Church on Saturday, April 27th, 2024. Visitation will
be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., followed by a service at 10:30 a.m.
