Obituary

Bruce Leroy Inglis was born May 29, 1940 in Rogers City, MI to Genevra (Smith) and Walter Inglis 15 minutes after his twin brother Winslow. He grew up on the family farm in Millersburg, MI and attended the local schools and the Millersburg United Methodist Church. Through the church and others in the community, he learned about God and grew in the desire to help those who had less than him. The death of his father impacted him to seek God and to question the importance of his worldly possessions. He knew God but he struggled with the deity of Jesus. One night, while praying and asking God to reveal who Jesus is, he heard a wind outside the window and heard a voice that said "Love my Son". Now he knew.

As a single man who's farm was prospering, God impressed on his heart Jesus' Words in Luke 18:22 "One thing you still lack. Sell all that you have and distribute to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me." So his journey in obedience to Jesus took him to serve in Bolivia, Peru, Paraguay, Russia, Detroit, MI, Florida, and Chicagoland, IL. On June 24, 2017, Bruce went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus, after a full life of loving Him.

Bruce is survived by his wife Marlene; daughters Anita (Paul Fast), Alicia (Mark Garavaglia), and Martha; sons Juan (Suzie) and Joshua; grandchildren Elizabeth, Abigail, Henry, Michaela, Ethan, and Jonathan; sisters Marilyn and Janet; brother Winslow (and Carol) and sister-in-law Charlotte.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Walter, and grandson Caleb.
