Carolyn Marie Larsen, 78 years old, passed peacefully at home with husband, son and daugheter- in- law at her side on September 25, 2021. Carolyn was a loving, supportive and caring wife of 53 years to beloved Harold Edward Larsen.
Daughter of the late Maxine Lorraine and Duane Lee Jennings. Fun loving sister to Mike (Martha) Mark (Laura) the late Peter (Carol), late Steven, late Patrick (Becky) and late Judy. Fond aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Loving and proud mother of Peter Edward Larsen (Danielle) and Elizabeth Ann Larsen (Robert). Beloved grandmother to Elizabeth's children Alejandra and triplets Isabelle, Robert Jr. and Victor.
Carolyn, Harry and their two kids looked forward to traditional holiday celebrations visiting Carolyn's family at her Plainfiield, Indiana hometown.
A 50 plus year resident of Bolingbrook, Illinois Carolyn leaves behind dear life long friends and neighbors. Carolyn was a great cook and was part of a 20 plus year friendship gourmet group.
Carolyn was an administrative assistant of Bolingbrook school district for over 25 years. Carolyn's favorite part of the day began and ended for the school children.
Carolyn was active in her church, Friendship United Methodist Church, volunteering for seniors and church events.
An ardent reader of all genres from biographies, politics and strong female influences. Carolyn was also active in political volunteering and women's rights.
Carolyn loved and enjoyed cruises all over the world and scenic road trips, shopping and dining with husband, Harry.
A member of and one of Carolyn's favorite places to visit was the Morton Arboretum, Lisle, Illinois, where she attended special events and dinners. Carolyn was a gifted artist of nature drawing, watercolor her main medium and many were featured at Morton's art exhibits at the Arboretum.
Carolyn will be dearly missed, but always remembered by loved ones, family and friends.
