Christopher S. Templin, age 61, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side. A devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend, Chris will be remembered most of all for the love he had for his family and the genuine way he cared for the people around him.

Chris was the beloved husband of Pamela (nee Robinson) Templin. They shared 43 years together and were happily married for 34 years, building a life filled with love, cherished memories, and countless moments together. He was the cherished son of the late Harry and the late Corrine Templin, loving father of Sara and Joshua, dear brother of Debbie (Bill) Rolke and Stuart Templin. He was also a dear son-in-law to Lionel Robinson and the late Dulcia Robinson. A fond brother-in-law of Vicki (Lee) Fair, the late Dennis Robinson, and Cindy Robinson (Chapman). He was a proud uncle to Tom (Kaila), Tim, Leroy, Delcia, Kyle, Ashley, and Steffani, and a cousin and friend to many who were fortunate enough to know him.

Family was at the heart of Christopher's life. For many who knew him, “Trooper” was a true family man who found his greatest happiness in the people he loved. He was selfless by nature, always willing to lend a hand, offer his time, or help someone in need. Chris was authentic and genuine—he never pretended to be anyone other than himself. If someone needed something fixed, figured out, or simply needed someone to be there, Trooper was the person they could count on. A true “jack-of-all-trades,” there was little he wouldn't try to do and even less he wouldn't do for someone he cared about.

Chris’s kindness extended beyond his family. He had a way of making people feel welcome and valued, and his friendships meant a great deal to him. He especially enjoyed spending time with his friends watching NASCAR, sharing the excitement and camaraderie that came with being a fan. He was also a loyal Chicago Bears and Chicago White Sox fan.

Some of Trooper's happiest memories were made outdoors and away from the everyday hustle and bustle. He loved camping and spending time in Wisconsin, enjoying the simple pleasures of being surrounded by nature, family, friends, and good company. These moments, filled with laughter and togetherness, will remain treasured memories for those who shared them with him.

Chris was also a beloved dog dad to the family’s late companion, Chloe, and a loving dog grandpa to Kelso. Both dogs held a special place in his heart and brought him countless moments of love and joy.

Trooper was, simply, a good man who loved his family deeply and lived his life by being there for others. He was a fighter until the very end, overcoming the odds time and time again and showing a strength that inspired everyone who loved him. His memory will be cherished, his stories will continue to be told, and his love will remain a part of his family forever. Above all, Chris was a true follower of Jesus, living his life with faith, love, and a heart for others, and we find comfort knowing he is now at peace in the arms of his Savior, where he will be loved and missed until we meet again.

Chris’s Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, August 14, 2026, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m., located at McCauley-Sullivan Funeral Home & Crematorium, 530 West Boughton Road, Bolingbrook, Illinois 60440.
