Clarissa Brooke Groll

It is with heavy hearts and indescribable pain we announce the passing of our beloved Clarissa Brooke Groll, age 46, of Bolingbrook, IL. Born on October 12, 1978 to Edward and Amelia Alterson, She died sadly and unexpectedly on March 5th, 2025. Clarissa was known for her warm smile and gentle demeanor. Clarissa brought love and laughter wherever she went. She is survived by her Loving Partner of Rob Hinojosa, Adoring Mother of Jack Groll and Charlie Groll, Mother of Ivy Hinojosa and Eden Hinojosa, Step Mom to Gianna Paukner, Kylie Hinojosa, and Neveah Snyder. Clarissa was the cherished Daughter of Edward (deceased) and Amelia Alterson, Sister to Daniel Mueller (Cathy), Connie Abels, Norman Mueller (Bonnie), Greg Alterson (Bea) Michael Mueller, Brenda Jensen, Christina Alterson, Roberta Cross (Andy). Clarissa was the loving Aunt and Cousin too abundant to name each one and is one of a very large extended loving family. Clarissa was preceded in death by her father, Edward Alterson, grandmother Claire Orphanos, and grandparents Ann and Lew Alterson. Clarissa was loved and adored by her numerous friends and her co-workers.

Clarissa was known for being a terrific mom, and her children were the light of her life. Clarissa was passionate about her work and a rising star Domino's Pizza where she worked for more than 20 years as a manager, and who won numerous awards. She loved camping, the zoo, vacations, cooking and walking with her kids. Known for her infectious laugh and ability to light up any room, Clarissa will be deeply missed by her numerous family, friends, and colleagues.

We invite all who knew and loved Clarissa to celebrate her life on Sunday, March 9th at Alleluia! Lutheran Church, at 4055 S Book Road, Naperville IL. Visitation will be between 2-4 with services at 4pm.
