Dr. Crispulo T. Benito, Jr. lovingly known to family and friends as Junior/Jun passed away on May 9, 2024 at the age of 77.
Born in the Philippines on January 17, 1947, Dr. Benito was the youngest son of the late Attorney Crispulo Benito, Sr. and the late Josefina Benito (nee Taguiam). He attended the prestigious Santo Thomas University where he earned his medical degree and graduated Cum Laude. Dr. Benito was an academic scholar and had the fourth highest score when he took the medical board among his graduating peers. He worked with the underserved communities for over 20 years at Cook County Hospital and Oak Forest Hospital.
Dr. Benito lived his retirement to the fullest. He was an avid golfer and frequently participated in golf tournaments with his dearest friends. Aside from golf, he also enjoyed bowling, playing cards, mahjong and was quite the gardener. He also enjoyed traveling with his family.
Dr. Benito was preceded in death by his beloved wife Merlina Benito (nee Tira), daughter Pauline, brother Milo; adored niece Bambi Cruz and faithful yorkie companion Milo.
He is survived by two daughters Marjorie (Roland), Margarita (Melcris); son Paul Josef; granddaughter Braelyn Cris; and beloved pet Jambe.
He is further survived by his brother and sisters and their families: Dr. Ruben & Gloria Benito (Barbie Benito-Jackson, Jordyn, Jamie & Braydyn; Beverly Benito; Brandy & Jose Cuadrado); Lorna & Johnny Dizon (Joanna & Mike Romero, Jarryd (Sarah), Justin (Monica), MJ & Marissa; Darby & Maria Dizon, Joshua & Julianna; Alan Cruz (husband of the late Bambi Cruz), Jalan, Jackie & Alana; Mary Anne & John Batara, Brandon & Delainie; Jinnah Dizon; and Susan Benito.
Visitation will be on Friday, May 17th, from 4:00pm-8:00pm and Saturday, May 18th, from 2:00pm-6:00pm at McCauley-Sullivan Funeral Home 530 W. Boughton Rd. Bolingbrook, IL. 60440.
Interment Private.
