Daniel Gutierrez, also known as "pops, dad, papi, and coach", of Plainfield, IL graced our presence June 19th, 1936 and sadly left us September 16th, 2023.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jessica Doreen, his children Daryl (Phyllis) Gutierrez, Debra (David) Byron, Daniel Greenwood, Donna (Les) Saraga, Diane Corbin, several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was born in Topeka, KS to Vincente and Guadalupe (Toledo) Gutierrez. He resided in Bolingbrook for 29 years before retiring to Seneca at Woodsmoke Ranch. He wintered with Daryl and Phyllis in Plainfield.

He was a soccer coach for his son during the 80's. Not only did he serve in Germany, he was stationed in Fort Leavenworth serving in the army. He loved watching sports of all kinds with the Chicago Cubs being his favorite. Wrestling would be his idea of fun conversation. He loved traveling and experiencing the world with his family.

A visitation to honor Daniel's life will be held on Thursday, September 28th, 2023 from 4 - 8 PM at McCauley-Sullivan Funeral Home & Crematorium located at 530 W Boughton Rd. Bolingbrook, IL 60440. Funeral service on Friday, September 29th, 2023 at 10 AM at McCauley-Sullivan Funeral Home & Crematorium. Interment to take place at Mount Auburn Memorial Park at 4101 S Oak Park Ave. Stickney, IL 60402.
