Obituary

Edward Jascewsky was 84 years old at his passing on December 8th, 2025.
He was surrounded by his loving family until his final breath.

Ed was born in Brooklyn, NY in November 1941, the youngest of three
brothers. Ed loved to reminisce about his days playing stick and handball
as a kid. A year after graduating from Fairfield University, he married his sweetheart,
Madeline, who he always liked to brag that he "stole" from one of his friends.

After a short stint working for the Navy on the nuclear submarine program,
and additional schooling in Knoxville, TN, Ed and Madeline finally moved
their home to Bolingbrook in 1971, where Ed worked for Argonne National
Laboratory as a Nuclear Physicist.  He ultimately retired from Argonne after
33 years and numerous state and federal meritorious awards.   He enjoyed
playing golf and bowling with his colleagues.
In his personal life, he loved to coach his kids in T-Ball, softball, baseball,
basketball, and football.  Mr. J, as he was known, loved teaching the
fundamentals and made sure that every kid got a chance to play, long
before it was mandated by league rules.  He enjoyed whooping his kids
and grandkids on the golf course.  He was a dedicated member of his
church for many years.  He was always the "#1 Grandpa", and CEO (Chief Elder Officer)
of the 10th Hole Committee where the mantra was "Just ask Ed."
He could be found regularly at the front desk of Dance Dimensions and never missed a dance recital.
The Jascewsky Family was named the Family of the Year in Bolingbrook in 2005.
Ed led by example and always made sure giving back to his community was a part of everyday life.

Ed is survived by his wife, Madeline; his sons Mark and Steve, his
daughters, Donna (the late Bob) Jahn and Kim (George) Peterson; his
grandchildren, Michael, Kyle, Ryan, Hannah, Nicholas, Kate, Lauren, Cole,
and Mia; his great grandchildren, Robbie, Joey, Sadie, Ella, Ari, Eleanor,
Eireann, Emmalyn, Leni and Riley
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Julia, and his two
brothers, Joe (late Arlene) and George (Marie.)
