Kaspar, Gary C. of Bolingbrook passed away from complications of Parkinson's Disease on March 6th, 2024, surrounded by family.

Beloved husband of 43 years of Jane E. Kaspar, nee Tuomey.
Preceded in death by his parents Edward and Effie Kaspar, and sister-in-law Darlan C. Finan.

Gary, born in Chicago, grew up above his father's hardware store at 63rd and Lawndale. A graduate of University of Illinois Champaign with a BS degree in Electrical Engineering and as a member of PHI KAPPA PHI Honor Society. He spent 25 years working on large medical equipment and was instrumental in the development of the first mobile body scanner. In later years, he pursued a second career working with special needs students at Bolingbrook High School. He found this very rewarding and retired in 2017.

Gary loved buildings things, working in his yard, and tinkering with electronic equipment. He and Jane enjoyed 27 years of exploring Door County while spending vacations and weekends at their condo in Sister Bay, Wisconsin.

Gary is survived by his loving brother Edward (Sherry) Kaspar and cherished-chosen sister Mary Ellen (Michael) Wood, brothers and sister-in-;aw Robert and Diana Mellies, Jack (Sarah) Finan, and loving nephews and great nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Monday, March 11 from 12 - 4 PM with a prayer service at 3 PM at McCauley-Sullivan Funeral Home & Crematorium located on 530 W. Boughton Rd. Bolingbrook, IL 60440.
