Jackie Frank Russell Jr. ("Russ") of Chicago, IL passed away on February 6, 2026, at the age of 54. He was born on February 7, 1971 to Nancy Bishop and Jackie Frank Russell Sr. in Clarksdale, MS. Jackie was a bright man from childhood and on. An active member of his school and college bands, his passion for music spread to those close to him in life, especially his children. In addition, Jackie's affinity for bowling was a defining characteristic of his that his kids carry on. He was a well-respected IT professional in his work life, providing for his large family. Russ loved to travel, visiting several countries in the last few years of his life. He was also a lifelong Mississippi State fan (Hail State!). Above all else, Russ was a loving father, brother, and son.
Jackie was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Bishop, and his grandparents.
Jackie is survived by his 7 children, Jackie, Nora, Liam, Gina, Magnolia, Amelia, and Clayton Russell; his father, Jackie Frank Russell Sr.; his 3 sisters, Denise Ordoyne, Angie Irvin, and Merry Love Bishop; his best friend and cousin, Wes Neal; his nieces and nephew, Sarah Irvin, Courtney Irvin Magee, and Bishop Tart; and the mother of his children, Michelle Gogliotti.
Two memorial services will be held to honor Russ's life and the love within it. The first one will be on Wednesday, February 11th at McCauley-Sullivan Funeral Home in Bolingbrook, IL from 4-8pm. The second service will be on Saturday, February 14th at 10:30am, held at Marks Cemetery in Marks, MS; here, he will be laid to rest beside his Mama and Granny. Following, there will be a celebration of life at the Clarksdale Methodist Church in Clarksdale, MS from 12-2pm.
