Jim is survived by his wife, Ann Gottlick, Children, Lori (Andrew) Lydigsen, Linda (John) Lavorata, Diana (David) Gerger, Jimmy Gottlick and Grandchildren, Christopher Lydigsen, Jack Gerger, Anna Lavorata and Alex Gerger.

Jim was a graduate of St. Rita High School in Chicago and obtained an Associates Degree from DeVry also in Chicago.

Jim was an electrical engineer for Bell Labs, a fax salesman for Magnavox and later was a firefighter for the Village of Bolingbrook in which he retired. In his later years, he worked for a small company in Romeoville which he helped build model railroad layouts, which was his passion.

People who knew Jim will remember his smile and his great sense of humor.
