James graduated from St. Rita High School in 1961 and was a faithful Catholic, serving as an usher and catechist at St. Francis of Assisi in Bolingbrook for many years.
An avid lifelong Cubs fan, he enjoyed sitting out back on his deck with his wife, kids and grandkids, listening to Jimmy Buffet. His love for fishing with his family, his sharp wit, and his fierce competitiveness in family fantasy sports, particularly baseball, football, and golf, were well known. A Wordle savant, James brought joy and challenge to every game he played.
His unwavering love and support for his family were evident in all he did. James fought cancer with strength, dignity, and grace until his last breath, remaining faithful to God until the end. His legacy lives on through his loving family and the countless memories we shared.
