Jeanne Smith (nee Riemenschneider) age 100, of Naperville.
passed away Sunday, July 24th, 2022, just a month after her 100th birthday. Jeanne was the daughter and Chicagoans Charles and Mabel Riemenschneider and met her husband in Chicago while he was training to serve in the Navy in WWII. After the war, they were married in 1949 and together until his passing in 2013. Their children were born in 1951, 53 and 57 and they moved to Glenview to bring them up in the suburbs. An engineer, Arthur traveled a lot and they also moved to South Carolina, Southern California and always returned to The North Shore, which they both loved, and after his passing, she stayed in the home they shared in Naperville when he retired. Jeanne loved to cook, to sew and was a dress designer in the early years of her marriage. They are together again now, forever.
