Joseph "Pete" Luna Sr., 78, of Bolingbrook, Illinois; born September 17, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois.
Joseph, who went by Pete, was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was a longtime truck driver in the Chicagoland area before retiring to spend the rest of his days enjoying the life, love and laughter of his family and friends. While working and even after retirement, there were many things he enjoyed; atop that list would be the wisdom and love he shared through his words and his smile while spending time with his family. Whether it be a gathered event, music festival, or his love of the game, where he enjoyed coaching and watching his children and grandchildren play multiple sports over the years, he made sure he was always present for everyone. Being a family first man, whose faith, as a longtime member of the St. Francis of Assisi Parish, helped to create a legacy that he and his beautiful wife Jackie built to last a lifetime!
He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years Jacqueline; his 6 loving children, Tricia (Thom) Kallum, (the late) Joseph "Peter" Luna Jr., Anthony (Amber) Luna, Lisa Luna, Diana Luna & Rudolph (Nicole) Luna. He is the proud papa of 10 cherished grandchildren and 1 great-grandson, (the late) Alexander, Nicholas, Tyler, Alyssa & Aydan (great-grandson) Kallum, Angeline & Anthony Jr. Luna, Kaleigh & Jayden Cawthon, Julian Rosales & Joseph Jude Luna. He was a brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend to many. He will forever live in all of our hearts and be loved, cherished and missed dearly!
