In Loving Memory of Justin Steven McCauley
Justin Steven McCauley, beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend, was born on June 20, 1990, unexpectedly passed away on August 25, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of memories and countless people whose lives were touched by his presence.
Justin grew up in Oak Park and Forest Park and was a proud graduate of Oak Park and River Forest High School. He went on to earn his CDL and build a career as a skilled truck driver—a profession he truly enjoyed. Behind the wheel, Justin found not only a career but something he took great pride in and loved doing.
Justin's greatest joys, however, were found in the people he loved. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Kara, and his beloved son, Dominic Michael, who will forever carry his love and the memories they shared.
He was the cherished son of Millicent Miller (née Merrill) (Jason) and Steven McCauley. He was a loving brother to Samantha, Luke, Jake, Derrick and Jacob. Justin was also a treasured grandson to Lenore Caliendo (David), Michael Merrill (Linda), and Robert McCauley (Ghadir); a loving uncle to Carter Marie and Ana; nephew to Miles Merrill, Kristopher McCauley and Stephenie Keller (nee Molise) who was like a second mother to Justin; son-in-law to Lori Griswold; brother-in-law to Kimberly and Kris Barrera; and great-nephew to Jeanette Martin and Jeffrey Caliendo. He was a cousin to many and, above all, an amazing friend to countless others.
Justin had a way of making an impression on everyone he met. His presence brought warmth, laughter, and a sense of connection to those around him. To know Justin was to love him. His kindness, personality, and the memories he created with others will remain in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Though his time with us was far too short, the love Justin gave and the memories he left behind will endure forever. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Rest peacefully, Justin.
Your memory will live on in the hearts of those who love you.
