It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Karin Lee Berg, a beloved matriarch, dear friend, and cherished member of our community. Karin departed this world on January 1, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and a lifetime of cherished memories. She was preceded by her husband, Gerald Berg and her beloved brother, Alex Stanevich.

Karin was a pillar of strength and wisdom to her family. She was a loving mother to her son, Erik (Lisa) Berg, and her daughter, Lisa Berg. She was a great grandmother to Delilah, Stellah, Matilda, Oslo, and Walker, each of whom she held close to her heart. Her role as a grandmother to Kyle (Melissa) Berg, Sara (Tim) Berg-Hollingsworth, Karl (Nicole) Berg, Abby (Rob) Cybulski, Riley (Megan Binder) Seymour-Berg, and Gus (Georgia Brooks) Smith was filled with warmth, kindness, and unconditional love. Karin's family was the center of her world, and her lively spirit touched the lives of generations.

Beyond her immediate family, Karin was an auntie to many and a dear friend to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her genuine warmth, compassion and infectious laughter created a welcoming space for everyone fortunate enough to be a part of her life.

Karin found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a fondness for wine, savoring each glass with appreciation and sharing many toasts with those she held dear. An occasional shot of Malort was a testament to her adventurous spirit and ability to find humor in every situation.

Her love for literature brought her into the embrace of the book club, where she engaged in lively discussions with fellow book enthusiasts. Bunco nights and drag queen bingo were filled with camaraderie and friendly competition, and Karin's lively spirit added a special spark to every gathering.

Karin's passion for antiques reflected her appreciation for history and the stories held within each vintage piece. Her home was adorned with treasures that spoke to a life well-lived and memories cherished.

However, perhaps her deepest affection was reserved for her beloved dogs, loyal companions who brought immeasurable joy and comfort into her life. Their companionship was a source of solace and happiness throughout the years.

As we mourn the loss of Karin Berg, let us also celebrate the remarkable life she led and the love she shared with all who were fortunate enough to know her. In the tapestry of our memories, Karin's laughter, kindness, and unwavering love will forever remain a cherished thread.
