Karla Jean Kacena, age 55, of Altamonte Springs, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2025. Born on December 15, 1969, in Chicago, Illinois. Karla lived a life full of love, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Howard Cossidente.

She is survived by her beloved children, Kylie Jordan Kacena and Colin Joseph Kacena, who were the pride and joy of her life. She is also survived by her sister, Jill Michelle Cossidente and loving partner, Robert Roeder. Karla was deeply proud of her children and found immense happiness in watching them grow into the remarkable individuals they are today.

Karla had a vibrant spirit and a deep love for life. She cherished her time on the water, especially boating and sunsets, and found comfort and companionship in her dogs. Her friendships were a cornerstone of her life—she was known for her warmth, laughter, and the joy she brought to every gathering.

She will be remembered for her generous heart, her unwavering devotion to family and friends, and the light she brought into the lives of those who knew her. Karla's light and legacy will live on even after her sun has set.

A Celebration of Life will take place Friday, November 21st from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at McCauley-Sullivan Funeral Home & Crematorium, 530 West Boughton Road, Bolingbrook, Illinois 60440.
