Obituary

Keith Leon Watson age 63 of Plainfield, Illinois passed away on October 17, 2019 after a difficult battle with cancer; his family was by his side. Beloved son of the late Walter and Shirley Watson. Survived by his wife Marcala. Loving father of two daughters, Sara and Melissa. Dearest brother to Dori Noble. Loved son-in-law of Randy and Shirley Clapp and brother-in-law to Marshall Clapp. Cherished uncle to Lynae (Christopher) Mauk, Melvin Noble Jr., Tanya (Josh) Jericho. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Keith was raised in Lemont, Illinois. After graduating high school he joined the US Marines in 1974 where he was a aircraft electrician. He exceeded in his boot camp training earning a perfect 300 score in the physical fitness test. After he was honorably discharged in 1978, Keith continued his career and passion as an electrician. He excelled in his line of work, owning his own business as well as working for various electric companies. If anything was broken or needed to be built, he was the man to call.

In March of 1990, Keith met Marcala. They were soul mates and married on February 17, 1991. Soon after, they had their first child Sara and twenty months later they had their second child Melissa. Keith was an amazing husband and father and filled their home with love and laughter.

Keith enjoyed watching his favorite football team the Chicago Bears, going on fishing trips, and golfing. Later in his life he picked up photography, toting his camera around to zoos, and any place he might capture his favorite animal, an eagle, in action. He always cherished spending time with his family, and he opened his heart and home to cats and dogs.

Keith was a survivor from a first bout of cancer in 2006. His determination and fighting spirit were always inspirational. He was an incredibly strong and brave man. He always had a positive outlook on life and did not let things bother him. He never complained and always had a smile on his face. Keith will be loved and missed by everyone. He is a truly unforgettable man.
