After an arduous struggle with Parkinson's Disease, Kusum Gondalia, 80, of Gujarat, India, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2022 in her Naperville, Illinois home. Kusum was born on June 15, 1942, to Govindji and Valiben Patel. She migrated to the United States in the 1970s and worked as a hotel owner/manager, pharmacy technician, and homemaker for the majority of her career.
Kusum will be remembered for her sense of humor, strength and honesty. She had the courage to leave everything she knew behind in search of greater opportunity. She believed in the value of education, always desired to travel and loved music of all kinds--be it classic Indian songs or the occasional Billboard chart-topper.
Kusum is survived by Suresh, her loving husband of 45 years, her children and their spouses, Crystal Gondalia and David Neville, Kunal and Marlowe Gondalia, as well as her three grandchildren, Azay, Koa, and Robey Gondalia.
