Dear family, friends, and community at large,

With a profound sense of loss, we share the news of the passing of our beloved
Dad, Sh. Lalit Kumar Ganju, on May 31st, 2024, at 12:45 AM CT in Plainfield, Illinois.
He was born and raised in Fatehkadal Srinagar, and was fondly addressed as Jawalal
and Bhaiji by his extended family and friends.

Sh. Lalit Kumar Ganju, AVSM Awardee, lived a life marked by unwavering discipline,
dedication, and remarkable achievements. A distinguished engineer, Sh. LK Ganju
laid the foundation for a career celebrated with numerous accolades, including the
prestigious Ati Vishisht Seva Medal (AVSM). His professional excellence and
commitment to his field were evident throughout his career, earning him the
respect and admiration of his peers.

Even in his later years, Sh. LK Ganju exemplified a life of rigorous routine and
physical activity. His daily five-mile walks and diligent work in his garden reflected
his enduring vitality and love for nature. His meticulous care of it was a testament
to his appreciation for beauty and order, traits that permeated every aspect of his
life.

Sh. LK Ganju was not only a man of great professional accomplishments but also a
devoted family man. His wisdom, strength, and kindness touched the lives of all
who knew him. His love for his grandchildren was evident to everyone, as he
spent the last 10-15 years of his life cherishing every moment with them.
He is survived by his beloved family:

• Wife: Nalini Ganju
• Daughter and Son-in-Law: Vinita and Arun Kachroo
• Son and Daughter-in-Law: Vishal and Meghna Ganju
• Grandchildren: Arianna, Aadiv, and Adhira

Additionally, he leaves behind cherished memories with the Ganju, Sazawal,
Tickoo, Kachroo, and Kaul families.

A service to celebrate Sh. LK Ganju's life will be held at McCauley-Sullivan Funeral
Home and Crematorium, 530 W. Boughton Rd, Bolingbrook, IL 60440, on June
3rd, 2024, at 10 AM.

Sh. Lalit Kumar Ganju will be deeply missed, but his spirit and the values he lived
