LeRoy passed away peacefully from this life on the morning of July 21, 2022, in Naperville, Illinois. He was surrounded and supported by his loving family and caregivers during the last moments of his life.

LeRoy was born on October 6, 1938, in Limón, Costa Rica. He was the youngest of six children born to Joseph and Mary Louise (nèe Antione) Stewart. In 1964 he moved to Chicago, and on March 20, 1965, he
married his beautiful wife, Claire. In 1976 LeRoy moved his family to Bolingbrook, Illinois where he lived until his death. LeRoy loved sports and was a die-hard Cubs fan until the end. As a young man he played catcher for a baseball team in Costa Rica. He coached his daughters' softball teams and enjoyed bowling and golfing with Claire. LeRoy worked as an accountant for several companies before retiring. After retirement he taught English as a Second Language (ESL) and U. S. History to new immigrants entering the country.

LeRoy is survived by his wife (Claire Stewart, née Downs), two daughters (Karen Stewart and Pamela Stewart), his sister (Eva Stewart), and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.
