Lorna Paz Dedin was born to the late Lilia and Rogelio Paz on May 8, 1968 in Pasay City, Rizal, Philippines. Lorna grew up with her 6 siblings Ronnie, Obet, Lerry, Emon, Owe, and Sheila who were all dear to her. Lorna was an intelligent woman graduating with a bachelor's degree in accounting in the Philippines. She was devoted to her faith.
In the year 2001, she made one of the greatest sacrifices a mother can make- leave the place she called home and live the American dream to give her daughters a better life and a brighter future. Through her hard work and dedication, she completed her Bachelor's in Science with her children alongside her. Lorna was a devoted Director of Nursing touching the lives of all she came across. Lorna became a mentor, a leader, and an inspiration to all. Lorna devoted her life to give endlessly and tirelessly. Lorna was a woman who rarely complained and persevered through every obstacle that came her way. Her journey was not easy, but she carried her family in her heart every step of the way. Lorna always put the needs of others above her own. She loved to travel and brought her family members to the utmost of her ability.
On September 15, 2026, Lorna rested peacefully. Although Lorna's journey has come to an end, the love she gave and the legacy she created will live on through her daughters Lorna was a loving wife to her husband Jose Antonio Amado, a loving mother to her 6 daughters, Andrea (Jarrod) Stegall, Anna (Kevin) Adraneda, Shauna (Oshi) Gayoso, Garnette (Jason) Barnedo, Monica (Von) O’Hara, and Samantha (Michael) Gayoso. She was a proud grandmother "Mama" of 14 the night of her passing; Zoe, JJ, AJ, Lily, Nelly, Zali, Millie, Zayne, Enzo, Mateo, Axel, Azelynn, Heze, and Violet. Lorna was awaiting the arrival of her 15th grandchild. On September 16, 2026 a healthy baby boy, Isaiah Lorne, was born. Lorna Paz Dedin will live on forever in our hearts. May she rest in eternal peace.
