Louis William Motisi, age 80, of Bolingbrook, Illinois, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on March 26, 2026. Born on March 15, 1946, Lou lived a full and meaningful life defined by hard work, humor, and an unwavering dedication to his family.
Lou was married to the love of his life, Laurel Motisi, for 59 wonderful years. Together, they built a strong and loving family. He is survived by his children: Curt (Mary) Motisi, Lisa (Michael) Motisi-Baldwin, Greg Motisi, Tony Motisi, Aimee (Brad Ruda), and Sara (Sebastian) Motisi-Flores. He was a proud grandfather to Layla, Colin, Nora, Miranda, Anthony (Bri), Daniel, Grace, Tia, Gregory, and Summer.
Lou was proceeded in death by his parents Anthony V. Motisi and Ruth M. Motisi and his beloved cats, Nala and Maya. He will also be missed by many friends, old fishing buddies and car show enthusiasts like himself.
Known for being hardworking, funny, and a little stubborn, Lou was someone you could always count on. He had a gift for fixing just about anything and was always there when his family needed him. His sense of humor and familiar sayings—"Thanks for stopping by" and "I've been pimped (punked)"—will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
Lou was a proud Navy veteran who served his country during the Vietnam War. Following his service, he built a long and steady career working at Continental Can and Wheaton Plastics before enjoying his well-earned retirement.
Outside of work and his family, Lou's true passion was his 1968 Chevelle SS, which he lovingly and meticulously rebuilt and proudly showcased at hundreds of car shows over the years. It was more than just a car—it was a reflection of his craftsmanship, patience, and pride.
Lou's legacy lives on through the family he cherished and the many memories he helped create. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
