In Loving Memory of Louis Peter DeSimone

Louis Peter DeSimone, age 72, passed away peacefully in his home on July 25, 2026, in Woodridge, Illinois.

Born on July 12, 1954, Louis was born and raised in Chicago, Il. He proudly worked as a Foreman with Laborers’ Local 1 for 28 years, earning the respect of his coworkers through his dedication and leadership. In addition to his union career, Louis also founded the Cubby Bear West, creating a place where countless memories were made.

Above all else, Louis cherished his family. He took great pride in being a father and grandfather, and his greatest joy came from spending time with those he loved.

Louis was preceded in death by his father, Peter Joseph DeSimone, and his sister, Diane Ferguson.

He is lovingly survived by his mother, Loretta DeSimone; his sister, Toni Dorbin; his sons, Anthony Peter DeSimone, Dustin Joseph DeSimone, and Peter Joseph DeSimone; his beloved grandchildren, Louie Joseph DeSimone and Sunny “Lou” Giana DeSimone; and his former wife, Kathy DeSimone. He also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who will miss him deeply.

Louis will be a remembered for his natural charisma, genuine smile, and kindness that left a lasting impression on everyone he met. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched, and he will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
