In Loving Memory of Maria Soledad Torres
October 15, 1969 – April 17, 2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved [daughter/sister/aunt/godmother], Maria Soledad Torres, who left us on April 17th, 2025, at the age of 55. She departed this world surrounded by the love of her family, just as she lived—selflessly, wholeheartedly, and with deep devotion to those she held dear.
Born on October 15, 1969, in Chicago, IL, Maria was a bright light from the very beginning. She brought joy, strength, and unwavering support to her parents, Jose and Gudelia, and to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
As a devoted daughter, she was a source of comfort, laughter, and pride. As a cherished sister, her loyalty and kindness knew no bounds. To her nieces and nephews, she was more than just an aunt, she was a second mother, a mentor, a friend. And as a loving godmother, she embraced her role with grace and a heart full of love.
Family was the center of Maria's life. She had a unique gift for making everyone feel special, always putting others before herself and showing up in every possible way—with a warm smile, a listening ear, or a helping hand. Her traditions, her presence at every milestone, her thoughtfulness, and her deep empathy created a sense of unity that will forever be a part of our family.
Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we are endlessly grateful for the time we had with her. Her spirit, her laughter, and the love she gave so freely will remain with us always.
Maria is survived by her loving father, Jose Torres; her cherished siblings, Jose Torres (Rosa), Maria Nateras, Pablo Torres (Michelle), and Claudia Flores (Raul). She was a proud aunt to her nieces and nephews: Angel (Mike), Jessica (Nick), Jazmine, Alex, Carlos (Kayla), Esme, Marisa, Ethan, and Hector. She was also a devoted great-aunt to Louie, Keeno, Arman, Landon, Izzy, Monty, Ryland, and Quinn.
She was predeceased by her beloved mother, Gudelia Torres, and her brother-in-law, Hector Nateras.
A service celebration of her life will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025, from 4pm to 8pm, at McCauley-Sullivan Funeral Home & Crematorium, 530 W Boughton Rd, Bolingbrook, IL 60440. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Marias's memory to ALS.
