Marianne C. Smitas, age 83, was the beloved wife of the late Richard Smitas, loving mother of Greg (Heidi), dearest grandmother to Jacob, Caitlyn, and Ryan, dear sister of the late Jeanette (late Del) Blakely and the late John (late Ann) Zonavetch, fond aunt of many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, proud administrative assistant of the Valley View School District for over 30 years, friend to many, and missed by all.

Interment will take place on Friday, February 10, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., located at Resurrection Cemetery-Romeoville, 200 West Romeo Road, Romeoville, Illinois 60446. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home prior to the burial, starting at 10:00 a.m. that morning. The procession will depart for the cemetery at 10:30 a.m.
