Marlene Sue Anderson (Rohrer) age 91 of Bolingbrook IL,
passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 12, 2022.
Marlene was born on March 8, 1931, in Sterling IL to the late Enos Rohrer and Evelyn Sundberg. She is survived by her daughter Cynthia Anderson-Bennekaa and her son David (Michelle) Anderson. Proud
Grandmother of Amina Bennekaa, Kyle (Stephanie) Anderson, Bryan (Sarah) Ward. Great grandmother to Remi and Ash Ward. Sister of the late John (Juanita) Rohrer and the late Richard (Doti) Rohrer. Beloved aunt of many.

Marlene spent the early part of her life in Moline, Il gaining a strong Christian
faith by attending church on Sunday's. Through the church she found a love of
music where she participated as a regular member of the choir, often
performing solos with her beautifully talented voice. That talent and pursuit of
singing in church choirs remained with her throughout much of her life as she
moved and became a member of Union Church in Hinsdale, Illinois for over 30
years.

She attended Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois and graduated with
a master's degree in education. She became a schoolteacher and eventually
changed careers to become a small business owner as a consultant.
In her early retirement years, she lived in many different places including
Barrington, Illinois, Lake Wildwood, Illinois, Tampa, Florida, Sun City, Arizona.
Eventually she returned to her home state of Illinois where she resided the last
15 years near her son David.
