Martin E. Lindeman (Marty) passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones at the age of 70. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Veda Lindeman, and his lifelong partner of 48 years, Teresita P. Hernandez. Marty was proud of the family he helped raise. He was the dedicated stepparent to Michelle (Rick) Lyman, the late Anthony Hernandez and David (Jody) Hernandez, and adored grandfather of Allison, Bailey, Madalyn, and Jonathan.
Marty served in the United States Navy, as a Hospital Corpsman, where he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. Marty retired from the University of Illinois Chicago's Eye and Ear Infirmary where he was an ophthalmic technician. Marty used his skills to volunteer his time at the Lighthouse for the Blind.
Marty loved tinkering in his workshop. He had a generous heart and often helped loved ones with home improvement projects and repairs. He especially loved spending time with family. An avid photographer, Marty captured countless memories of celebrations and time spent together. Marty enjoyed playing his guitar and working on his computer. He will always be remembered for his giving spirit and ability to fix anything. He will be missed by all.
A private memorial will be held by immediate family.
