Mary C. Eddings
October 13th, 1930- November 18th, 2025
Mary was a devoted mother, grandmother, and spiritual guide whose love and strength formed the foundation of her family. She was the beloved mother of three children—Neil Horton, Mark Horton (deceased), and Toma Brown—and the proud grandmother of many. Through Neil and Regina, she welcomed Jason, Joshua, and Nahema; through Neil and Cloanne, Tiffany and Tenille; through Mark and Patricia, Shekinah, Melia, Aundrelina, and Phillip; through Mark and Cynthia, Jahnelle, Alex, Gabby, and Johnathan; and through Toma and Hiram, Isaiah, Daniel, Amber, and Ashley. Mary also lovingly embraced many children through marriage, including Connie, Darlyta, Loretta, Lorraine, Marlene, Marlette, Kathleen, Joni, Adrain, and Cindy, and she is survived by a large host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by several children through marriage: Audrenna, Connie, Dartagnan, Roland, Cidju, and Michael.
Mary was first married to Phillip Horton and later to Thomas Brown, both of whom preceded her in passing.
In addition to her rich family life, Mary dedicated over 30 years of service to the Federal Government as an Executive Secretary, receiving numerous honors and awards throughout her career. One of her most notable achievements was the opportunity to train at the White House in the 1970s—a highlight she treasured. Mary also served faithfully at Bob Yandian Ministries as a Children's Church Teacher, touching countless young lives with her compassion, wisdom, and unwavering faith.
Mary will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, friend, and advisor whose kindness and guidance left a lasting impact on all who knew her.
