Dr. Mulji Pauwaa (88) passed away peacefully on Monday, July 22nd, 2024. Dr. Pauwaa was a beloved husband to Sonia Pauwaa, Father to Sunil Pauwaa (Annie Pauwaa), and Grandfather to Serene, Nithin, and Kira Pauwaa.
Dr. Pauwaa will be remembered first and foremost as a beloved family man. His primary focus was always to provide for his wife and son as well as his family in India. He was also an accomplished vascular surgeon, having worked both at Mount Sinai hospital in New York where he served as trauma director, and at South Suburban hospital in Illinois, where he also served as medical staff president.
Dr. Pauwaa loved his family, loved music, and loved to travel. He loved to read, especially biographies as he loved to learn about the lives of those he admired. He would spend hours listening to classical Indian music and watching classical Indian films. But most of all, he loved Cricket! And was especially overjoyed at India winning the T-20 World Cup earlier this year!
Overall, he was a loving family man and committed professional. We hope his legacy will live on through his impact on his family, primarily his son and grandchildren
He is survived by his Son, Sunil Pauwaa, Daughter in Law, Annie Pauwaa, and his 3 grandchildren, Serene, Nithin, and Kira.
