Pete Thomas, age 57 of Bolingbrook, passed away suddenly on May 6th, 2022. He was the beloved husband and soulmate of Kim Thomas, cherished son of Maria and the late Peter Thomas, like a son to Nancy Leka and Arthur Mackey, loving father of Kristin (AJ) Steen, and the late Brian Thomas, dearest Papa of Hayden, dear brother of Anne (Kurt) Hansen, Helen Thomas and Mary Hackett, like a brother to George Leka, fond uncle of Nick, Jake, Maggie and Mackenna, and devoted member of Gone Too Soon support group and the SAE fraternity.

Pete had a heart of gold and was always there if you needed help. He always wanted to make sure everyone felt welcomed and had a drink in their hand. He was truly the life of the party and a friend to everyone. Pete loved nothing more than spending time with his family and friends. He was most proud of becoming Papa to his buddy, Hayden. You could always find him enjoying a cocktail, listening to music, and sitting by the beach or fire. He is truly irreplaceable and will be greatly missed. We know he is up in Heaven reunited with his father and giving Brian a big hug from all of us.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 13, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Funeral mass to follow at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 1501 West Boughton Road, Bolingbrook, Illinois 60440, starting at 1:30 p.m. Interment private.

Masks are highly encouraged to be worn at all times throughout the services.
