On Tuesday 22nd of February, Dr. Rajneesh Salwan, beloved husband , father and compassionate physician passed away at the age of 60.

Rajneesh was born in Nabha, India to Mohanlal and Kamala Salwan. He grew up in New Delhi and completed medical school in Patiala. He served as a captain in the Airforce and then moved to the US thirty years ago with his wife Amita and their daughter Myna-Maria. They completed their family when Daevin (Davey) was born. He lived and worked in the greater Chicago area for the last 3 decades and served his patients with amazing dedication.

If there ever was a core purpose to someone's life, his was to diligently serve his patients and to be the best physician around. If you were one of his patients or one of the numerous party guests who garnered his excellence, you will remember him cutting through a ton of symptomatic noise to get to an insightful diagnosis delivered with a trademark brusque scowling manner.

He was always the life of the party with a huge enthusiasm for 70's Bollywood and Pop music. The second biggest love of his life was bodybuilding. Wasn't he proud of the 200 pound squats he could do as a 55 year old! His family was a source of strength and pride for him. He was so proud of Davey and Myna's journey in life and spent 34 years laughing together with his wife Amita (Rosy) in between countless cups of chai. He was a beloved uncle to his nephews and nieces and a "Yaaron ka Yaar" to all his friends.

Rajneesh is survived by his wife Amita, their children, Myna, Daevin, and his loving extended family. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 24th.
