Richard Joseph Fudala, age 83, of Bolingbrook, IL passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 29th. He was the beloved husband to Arlean Fudala, and the proud son of the late William Sr. and the late Frances Fudala. He was the dear brother to William (the late Jean), Don (Geri), and the late Donna (and the late
Michael) Cavello. He was the proud father to Debby (Tom) Usher, the late Donna Fudala, Diane (Shawn Harper) Banks, the late Richard (Dee) Fudala, Lori (Jim) Fink, and Christine (Bill) Mayer. He was a wonderful Grampa to Kyle (Stephanie Dutton) Pervinich, Emily (Darrel Miles) Pervinich, Joey Morgan, Michael Morgan, DayDay White, Beau (Taylor) Fink, Joy (Bryan Jack) Fink, Justin (Natalie) Fudala,
Sam Usher, Murray (Mackenzie) Fudala, Jake (Erin Fleming) Fudala, and Joey Usher. He was the amazing Grampy to Madelyn, Declan, and Addison Pervinich, and Great-Grampa to Max, Mason, and Montgomery. He was the proud uncle to Michael and Michelle.
Rich was a huge Blackhawks fan, a faithful Bears fan, and a lifelong Sox fan. He loved sports, fishing, cooking on the grill, playing bags at parties, and the Grinch. He loved spending time with his wife at their vacation home at Woodhaven Lakes, and at home, enjoying the backyard garden view his wife worked so hard on, from his favorite chair. He was very proud and deeply loved his entire family, near and
far, and will be dearly missed by all.
Rich's visitation will take place on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 from 4:00- 8:00 p.m., at McCauley-Sullivan Funeral Home & Crematorium, 530 West Boughton Road, Bolingbrook, Illinois 60440. A funeral service will follow the next day, Wednesday,February 4, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at the funeral home. Burial will conclude his funeral services at Resurrection Cemetery-Justice, 7201 Archer Road. Justice, Illinois 60548.
