Robert Carlisle, a devoted family man and dedicated community leader, has passed away. He was a man of character whose life was defined by his service to his family and his community.
Robert was the beloved husband of Janet Carlisle. High school sweethearts, their lifelong bond was the foundation of their family and a testament to their enduring love. He was also the cherished son of William and Marcy Carlisle.
He was a proud and loving father to Amanda Zoleske and Mike Carlisle, and a warm father-in-law to Brad Zoleske and Jenny Carlisle. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Mikey (14) and Morgan (12) Carlisle, who knew him as their dearest grandfather.
Robert was a dear brother to Ann Carlisle-Holcomb and Christopher Carlisle, and was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Carlisle. He was also a fond uncle to Bobby and Chris DiDomenico, Billy and Stevie Carlisle, Samantha Giovannoni, and was preceded in death by his nephew Jeremy Dombrowski.
An active and respected member of his community, Robert was deeply committed to local service. He served as a Commissioner on the Board of Culture, Arts, and Civic Affairs Committee, helping to enrich the civic life of those around him. A staple in local youth sports and mentorship, he served as a Coach for Panthers Girls Softball and Volleyball and spent many years as a Scout Leader for the Boy Scouts of America. He was also a dedicated member of the Lions Club.
Visitation to be held at McCauley-Sullivan Funeral Home on Thursday, January 15th from 4:00 - 8:00pm.
Funeral Mass to be held on Friday, January 16th at St. Francis of Assisi Church from 10:30 - 11:30am. 1501 W Boughton Rd, Bolingbrook, IL 60490
