Ronald B. Richards, age 86, of Bolingbrook, passed away on July 6, 2023, peacefully
with his family by his side.

Beloved husband of Patricia (nee Wolsztyniak). Loving father of Sharon Rubar, Donna
(late Andy) Theodore, Thomas (Warren Wong) Richards, Lawrence (Mary) Richards,
and the late Darlene Miller. Loving stepfather of Thomas Piasecki.

Devoted Grandpa of Brian (Gina) Rubar, Renee (Erik) Brazzo, Lauren (Joseph)
Holoubek, Pamela (Jose Sanchez) Miller, Peter (Areli) Theodore, Courtney (Miguel)
Gomez, Kyle Richards, Andrew (Jessica) Theodore, Joseph (Lauren) Miller, and Reyna
Theodore. Cherished Great Grandpa of 25 great grandchildren. Fond friend to many.

Ron was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He served as a medic on the USS
Hancock. He was a dedicated member of the Bolingbrook Lions Club for 24 years
where he was affectionately known as "Grandpa" to his fellow Lions. In his spare time,
he loved golfing, gardening, and his monthly poker game with friends. Ron never
passed up the opportunity to dance a polka and enjoy a great martini. Above all else,
Ron loved his family deeply.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Josephine Richards, his sisters,
Virginia (Leonard) Guest, and Eileen (William) Maticka, and his in-laws, Thomas and Mary Wolsztyniak.

Visitation to celebrate Ron's life will take place on Tuesday, July 11th, 2023 from 4 - 8 PM at McCauley-Sullivan Funeral Home & Crematorium located at 530 W. Boughton Rd. Bolingbrook, IL 60440.
Funeral mass will be held the following day on Wednesday, July 12th, 2023 at 10:30 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church located at 1501 W. Boughton Rd. Bolingbrook, IL 60440
Interment will conclude with Navy Military Honors present at 12:30 PM at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery & Mausoleums at 7201 Archer Avenue Justice, IL 60458.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bolingbrook Lions Club as gifts in
