He was known as a kind family man who was always ready for a good time and a hearty laugh. He easily made new friends and left a lasting impression by being The Birthday Man. He was a school athlete himself and coached many youth sports teams in Bolingbrook. He enjoyed old movies and shared facts about the stars of yesteryear. Russ put his computer and iPad to good use staying in contact with high school friends, researching on youtube and engaging family and friends on FaceTime! He and his wife enjoyed travel and shared many good times visiting California and Las Vegas.
