Obituary

Shantha Kumari Setty
Beloved mother of Suman and Arun and Kavitha. She leaves behind beloved sisters Usha and Geetha. Beloved aunt of Prathima, Madhavi, Shruti and Vasavi. Beloved grandmother to Aditya, Sudeeksha, Pranati and Vikas. Beloved wife of GopalaKrishna.

She leaves behind a gaping hole in our lives. Her presence was ever benevolent, and her loving heart was ever giving of her time, experience and unending love.

She was an educator throughout her life not only in book learning but in life lessons. She made friends wherever she went over four continents.

She loved to watch travel shows and read books. Her passion was education and to further this she created numerous teaching tools for children. Her children's book and her over 50 translations of children's books are a testament to her commitment to education.

She loved flowers and the white color. She loved gardening and growing vegetables. She was an excellent cook and her parathas were the best in the world. She learnt machine embroidery, stitching, card making and flower making. She was a science graduate but loved languages and history.

She is in our hearts and we will strive to follow her way of loving and giving as best as well can.
