In Loving memory of Sheldon E. Moe ("Papa"). Sheldon passed away peacefully at his residence in Brookdale Senior Living facility on Saturday, January 10th, 2026. He was born on October 20th, 1938, in New Auburn, WI to his parents Ingrid and Thorvald Moe. He was proceeded in death by his wife Theresa (Ruppenkamp) Moe.

Although life routed him through Omaha, Detroit and eventually Chicago, he was forever a Wisconsin man exemplified through his love of the UW Badgers and Green Bay Packers.

Sheldon was the cherished father of Kristine Fletcher, Debbie (Todd) Tiefenbach and Craig (Melinda) Moe and proud Grandfather to Matt, Ryan, Liz, Colin, Larsen, Mabel and Alice. He was a steadfast supporter who vigorously (at times too vigorously) enjoyed many of his grandchildren's activities and sporting events right up to the end of his life.

He is survived by his sisters-in-law, Mary (Ruppenkamp) Long and Elizabeth (Adams) Moe, nieces and nephews and countless friends whose lives were better for knowing him. His jokes and dry Norwegian wit drew many friends and loved ones into his circle.

A Catholic mass will be held on Saturday, January 24th, 2026, beginning at 1p.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 1501 W. Boughton Road, Bolingbrook, IL 60440. There is no visitation prior to the mass. Private Interment. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to, St. Vincent de Paul or AdventHealth St. Thomas Hospice .
