With a heavy heart, we announce the peaceful passing of Sreenivas Ratakonda, aged 85, of Bolingbrook, IL, on March 21st at 4:05 PM due to natural causes.

Born on July 1st, 1938, near Madanapalle, India, to Siddamma and Chinappa Naidu. After earning his degree in electrical engineering, he worked for 35 years at BHEL in R.C Puram.

A lover of soccer, Sreenivas dedicated countless hours to playing and watching the game he loved, his enthusiasm for the sport was only matched by his charisma. His ability to connect with people was amazing, making him endearing to anyone fortunate enough to cross his path. He navigated life with a constant smile on his face, creating lasting friendships with ease and leaving a mark on those he met. Sreenivas's unwavering desire was always for the well-being and happiness of others.

He leaves behind a legacy of cherished memories with his wife, Lakshmi Devi, and his daughters, Madhavi, Deepa, and Sireesha. His sons-in-law, Brahmanand, Kalyan, and Ashok, and his grandchildren, Warun, Arjun, Riya, Rohan, Samira, and Shriya, will hold these memories close to their hearts forever.

A viewing will be held on Saturday to honor the memory of a remarkable man whose spirit will continue to inspire and guide us.

The visitation will take place on Saturday, March 23, 2024, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., at McCauley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 530 West Boughton Road, Bolingbrook, Illinois 60440. The Puja will follow at 10:30 a.m. The Cremation Ceremony will conclude services following the Puja.
