Thomas Michael Cruz, age 66, of Bolingbrook, Illinois, transitioned into eternal life on September 5th, 2026. He is now free from pain and at peace.

Thomas was preceded in death by his mother, Joan Elaine (Carroll); his father, Louis Edward Cruz Sr.; and two brothers.

Thomas was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, where he attended Brother Martin High School and enjoyed participating in many athletic activities. Following high school, he continued his education at Thomas at Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, Louisiana.

Thomas spent much of his adult life in Los Angeles, California, where he worked in the movie industry and private security. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Dee F. Cruz; his sisters, Jeana and Carolyn; as well as his in-laws, extended family, and many dear friends.

Thomas was known for his outgoing personality, warm spirit, and ability to make those around him feel welcome. He was well-loved by many and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

May he rest in peacefully and may his memory forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
